The Body Shop harvested stem cells from Criste-marine (Crithmum maritimum), a resilient, succulent plant growing on the sea-battered coastline of Brittany. The beneficial proteins and anti-oxidising cellular powers of criste-marine, incorporated with beech bud extract gives Drops of Youth its anti-ageing prowess.

Drops of Youth also contains Community Fair Trade organic babassu oil from the COPPALJ co-operative in Maranhão, Brazil. Trade with The Body Shop has helped to empower the women of this collective by turning the traditionally female occupation of shelling and pressing babassu nuts into a key source of income.
